ENDANGERED SPECIES

MY grand parents
lived in a remote village
they worked hard in farm fields
and maintained a hale and hearty health

No hospital found around my village
no doctor in the vicinity to treat
they had millet cooked as their tabled food
and leafy vegetables played a decent role

Never they complained
of any indisposition, for decades together
Fresh air, unpolluted environment, saved their souls
and smiles all the while must be their secret of joy and delight.

My parents were a little bit modern I their pursuits
work maids assisted them in the daily chores
automobiles started streaking into the village
emitting some amount of pollution day in and day out

My grand parents saw their centuries of life in folds
my parents did their life swims to eighty years of course
please don’t talk of our present time life which is at high stakes
and we hear many young and energetic ones fall down as dried leaves

Are my grand parents and parents an endangered species now
in the light of modern times vicious health cares and concerns on show ?
